Discovered - graphite paint!
Pro: Love how easy it is to fill up large areas of the drawing and manipulating the tones. (Also feel more like an artist with a paintbrush, whipping it inexpertly across the paper.) Finishes with a graphite sheen and incredibly- can still be smudged with a tortillon after it dries, allowing me to soften the lines to give it a slightly more realistic effect.
Con: There’s a reason I switched to dry mediums. It’s watery nature also makes it tougher to control the finer details and leaves obvious brush strokes. The icing: Can’t erase mistakes, which I make aplenty.
